The 2026 Australian Accounting Awards were a great opportunity to celebrate the firms, teams and individuals helping move our profession forward. And for us at Squeeze Group, they were also a reminder of why we believe the future of accounting is incredibly exciting.

Accounting is evolving. Technology and AI are changing how work gets done. Client expectations are shifting. New business models are emerging. The role of the accountant is moving beyond traditional compliance towards deeper advice, connection and value creation. But while there’s plenty of conversation about what’s changing, nights like the Australian Accounting Awards are an important reminder of what’s driving that change.
